OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our Vision of the future is an evolution of the soccer player. Through our development academy we want to give players all the tools necessary, both on and off the field that will allow them to achieve their own High Performance life.
Our Players being the epicenter of the club, will develop respect, mental resilience, growth mindsets and knowledge that will transcend their soccer career, giving them the tools to be leaders of the future.
Our Mission is to a personalized, purpose-driven learning environment in which soccer players are challenged to master a broad range of skills and competencies. Motivated by the belief that passion drives, drive focuses, and focus empowers, rigor and quality performance define our foundational approach to growth in and out of the playing field.
Equally important is our embedded emphasis on character development and social responsibility, which we adjudge to be a vital component in our quest to prepare youth soccer players for the next step in their life’s journey.
Philosophy of the game is :
Progressive possession, thru collaboration, valuing player development over winning. Play forward and make good decisions.
Philosophy of the training is :
Identify who I have in from of me and what does each player need to learn to grow and develop as a player on and off the field? Sessions must paint a picture that replicates specific moments in the game that includes an opponent, target and a specific area relevant to the periodization plan. We teach decision making based on what you see.
Philosophy of teaching is :
Using the methodology of periodization as a foundation for planning, content and context, coaches shall identify individual development goals through an absolute awareness of who needs something different, by knowing who is in front of them. Each athlete’s cognitive and physical variables will provide us with the information to create individual player development plans. These are priority #1 and sit above the team’s annual training schedule and curriculum. These training schedules will focus on cognitive and physical variables through a challenging, repetitive, reality based orderly schedule of exercises and game day experiences that promote player understanding through self discovery. Parental support and active participation in their players growth is critical to the success of this philosophy.
Player development philosophy:
Using the methodology of periodization we shall manage age specific experiential learning environments and needs, we seek to develop a player’s mental health, fitness, values, knowledge, decision making, and execution. Relative to each specific moment of the game. Both on, an off the field.
STYLE OF PLAY
“A proactive, attack-oriented, decision making environment which seeks to dictate the game through progressive possession.”
In Possession – It is the essence of our game to maintain possession of the ball for as long as possible, with the intent to unbalance our opponents , penetrate and score.
When Losing Possession – Upon loss of possession our first priority is to regain the ball as soon as possible. In the event we cannot immediately recover the ball from a disorganized opponent, our next priority will be to organize our defensive shape
Out of Possession – While our opponent is in possession of the ball and is organized to attack, our priority is to slow progress and organize defensive structure with density under the ball
When Winning Possession – Upon recovering the ball we take advantage of the opponents disorganized defensive unit when possible or play out of pressure to maintain possession.
